Shocking

They don't come much more shocking than this. In a "routine" effort to sink an existing socket into the wall I find some hidden cables, one of which had a wall plug dead on centre through it! The screw was one of two that were used to fix the original socket. Miraculously, nothing tripped. The bottom cables form part of the ring mains, which, to my annoyance, are rather short, giving me less than ample manoeuvre to the left to avoid the "pre-drilled" cables.

A frustrating end to an otherwise very productive day in D's bedroom-to-be. Power back on as normal. More fun tomorrow....
