African violet

Only one word for today - WET! Rain, rain, and yet more rain. But nowhere near as bad as in southern England and northern Europe, where storm Ciaran has been wreaking havoc.

Into Holmfirth the morning with MrM. For once we went in the van - MrM needed some ingredients to make curry (he's providing lunch tomorrow for everyone working  at the music shop), and I needed to fetch my repeat prescription and to post a parcel.

Chores done, we headed for home. MrM spent the afternoon making the curries (one lamb, the other chicken), while I tackled some admin.

An emergency, wet weather Blip - the African violet that's been flowering all summer. It obviously likes living on the kitchen window sill.
