Native habitat?  You already know that...what you may not know is that the lion is also native to India.  The species are not precisely the same.  Another thing you may not know....they can sprint to near 50mph in short bursts...then they have to rest a while. More info:  adult males can exceed 400 pounds (180kg); adult females can approach 300 pounds (136kg).  Strictly carnivorous....you'll never see a lion grazing on grass.
