Eno!

I take the afternoon train to Paddington where I meet Richard. After a swift pint at the Waterloo Tap we had our looking for somewhere to grab some food, which seems to be quite tricky on a Monday night. We end up at Pizza Express, which is tastier than I expected.

The Royal Festival Hall is busy. They have a skeleton staff on the bar,  and the queue is longer than the time left until the gig starts. We make our way to our seats,  which are not far apart (extra).

The Ship is entrancing. The Baltic Philharmonic are mainly on their feet,  rather than static. Their sound is full,  an accurate transposition of synthesiser loops to acoustic instruments.

The other material is great too. Some from Another Green World,  some from Another Day On Earth. Others I don't recognise.

I feel sorry for the people who don't wait for the encore. Not only do they miss some of the best tunes,  but they also miss Eno's appeal for donations to Medics For Palestine. All in all a great gig.

There are no bars open on our way to the Airbnb in Chancery Lane. So, it's an early, sober night for us.
