At Combermere Abbey

Collected my brother and his wife from Essex and then drove up to Cheshire (my brother wants to revisit where we grew up). Drove up with Orla (my wife got the train up to Crewe and we met her in Nantwich).

Rather than stay in a hotel in Cheshire, we are staying in self-catering accommodation at Combermere Abbey, about seven miles southwest of Nantwich. It's a place I cycled past numerous times when I lived in Cheshire, but I've never been inside the gates. Our cottage/apartment is one of several created in the former stable block/courtyard.
