The Cabbage Trees are Flowering….

All around Marlborough Cabbage Trees (ti kouka, Cordyline australis) have burst into flower…early and profusely. In relation to climate patterns, a traditional Māori belief is that the early and profuse flowering of these trees indicates a long, hot, dry summer to follow.
