Marquis Drive in Autumn Colours

After yesterday's rain it was lovely to get out in some morning sunshine.  I decided to check out a short section of Marquis Drive that crosses Cannock Chase.  I can find little information as to the reason for its name, thought the Marquis of Anglesey did live in Beaudesert Hall to the south west of here.  This section runs down to the railway line and A34 road which splits the Chase in two.

Thankfully the rain and wind of the last few days hasn't removed all the leaves, while providing a carpet of colour from those that have.  Spent a good couple of hours walking no more than a mile from the car and have a few typical autumn images for my troubles.

Popped in to see a cousin on the way back for a quick coffee.  They had just arrived back from Barbados and will be off again to the Canaries by the end of the week.  Such is the life of some retirees.
