Afternoon concert

A normal Sunday starting with the morning service and then it was the first Sunday so a quick walk around the food and craft fair in the William yard. Ocean studios also had open studio day so popped up to see some of them. One in particular was a painter specialising in sea scapes and also scenes of Venice. After lunch I walked up to Stoke damarel church to a concert arranged by a fellow chorister and starring this young norwegian singer called Aksel. He had a magnificent voice and he is very young still! He was accompanied on the piano and by a viola in some pieces. He majored on Schubert with some Grieg thrown in!

During the interval there were refreshments so I had a glass of red wine which finished me off for the rest of the day! I fortunately had a friend there who gave me a lift home and then I had a short walk around the yard to see some of the fireworks that were going off all around the city!
