Scarred

There are a lot of scarred landscapes in parts of Wales.
I like them.
They are a reminder of a time when slate was a valuable commodity & provided an important source of employment. At one time it put a roof on a lot of buildings in the UK.
Now mostly long gone. Like a lot of industry.
Ah well.
Apart from that slightly maudlin thought, it was a lovely day.
