The bear chair

I had to run the gauntlet of cleaning the top floor of the house today as some of son Alex's friends are over for a sleep-over this evening. Teenage boy chaos straightened up... can see the floor again - for now!

This chair and the toys on it (now on our top landing) greeted me. They were my mother-in-law, Lois's. We inherited them a few years ago. Apparently the chair is a nursing chair and my husband was nursed in it by his mother! I don't know much about the toys except that they are quite old and belonged to Lois. I don't know if that means from her childhood, though. If so they could date from 1920s -1930s .
