Mainzer Sand

This was a busy and long day for me, with grocery shopping and a gym session in the morning, and work in the sound studio in the afternoon. 

I arrived early at the studio, which is located close to the small but unique nature reserve Mainzer Sand, and went for a short walk there. It’s a rare landscape of inland sand dunes, with lots of rare flowers and insects.

November isn’t a great month to look for flowers and insects, so I blipped a solitary birch tree. The only flowers still around were a few knapweeds - not rare, but a welcome sight in late autumn.
