Number147

Thursday

This morning we went to Portland Bill, the lighthouse on the Isle of Portland. A first for both of us.

We were very lucky with the weather. It didn't rain but it was terrifically windy! Per chance, we had extra clothes in the car so I wore two coats as well as hat, gloves and scarf.

An exhilarating coastal walk followed by soup at the Lobster Pot cafe.

In the afternoon, we explored the Portland end of Chesil Beach. The wind so ferocious that sea foam was being blown like snow.

Dramatic weather certainly enhanced our day.

Will sleep well tonight.
