Stormy Weather

Lots of wind today. We had to go from Muiden to the fortress island Pampus with our clipper. There was about 25 knots of wind, with wind gust in the region of 40 knots!! That is really a lot of wind, up to 7 Beaufort sometimes!

It was quit an adventure to dock at the pier of Pampus. But we managed (of course). When docking we also had to help undocking another ship and a third ship, the Egelantier, was also coming in. So, busy organizing everything with the other crews.

Undocking was again an adventure, lots of mooring lines involved to force the ship in the right direction. I'm really glad with our experienced skipper!

After the visit to Pampus, we did sail. We only used our foresail (or jib?) and we developed a speed between the 6 and 7 knots, which is quit fast when only using a foresail. And of course we did sail as far as possible into the harbor, again. :-)
