Defence the Children International - Palestine

The war in Gaza made it impossible for Khaled Quzam, the leader of Defence the Children International - Palestine, (DCIP) to travel to Norway and receive the award from the Rafto Human Rights Foundation today. 

In 2021 DCIP was along with 6 other Palestinian human rights organisations designated as terrorist organisations by Israel. UN, EU and a large number of nations have rejected the claim as baseless. 

DCIP have documented children's rights violations against Palestinian kids in over 30 years. Now they have 2 staff in Gaza taking video documentation that they try to save for a future investigation. 

The current number of Palestinian child fatalities in Gaza is unknown.
Yesterday:  At least 4.506 (confirmed by UN) In additional 1.500 children have been reported missing, under the rubble.
