Ushuaia  The end of Project A

Now tied up in port at Ushuaia.  I disembark at 8am for a bus to the airport and then 2 days travel back to the UK.

First night in a hotel in Sao Paulo and the second night aboard a plane back across the Atlantic
Lots of memories. Lots of photos.  The company that runs these trips, their staff and crew have been excellent and have helped make the trip a memorable and safe experience.  The staff have been very informative about all aspects of the Antarctic experience.  They, and the company, are very enthusiastic about ensuring that tourism doesn't impact on the ecology of Antarctica.  They support scientific monitoring and encourage passengers to participate in Citizen Science. (one of the whales we saw was last reported 4 years ago).  The more reports there are, the better population sizes and movements can be understood leading to more efficient conservation (knowing where to target resources).

Since my laptop has lost the ability to access the internet (and all other 'Windows' settings), there will be at least a two day gap before I next post on here.  I will then attempt to reply to some of your comments that I haven't managed to do from on board ship.

See you then.
