Concert Day

On this weekend of remembrance the choir pitched up at the Victorian church, St John the Baptist Church, Crowthorne for our November concert. The main feature was a performance of Fauré’s Requiem, but we also sang an anthem by Elgar and a new piece to me by the American composer Morten Lauridsen, Lux Aeterna, which was glorious.

Our audience were highly appreciative and to quote our delighted MD we “… nailed it!”.

All in all a good day with only an opportunity for a quick mobile snap of the church as I walked back from the village during the break between rehearsal and concert.
