Titchwell Marsh

Titchwell Marsh Nature Reserve looked a bit bleak in this weather, although we enjoyed the walk to the beach. The picture shows the demolished main control tower, used by the RAF when Thornham Marsh was used as a firing range in the 1950’s. The Tower survived the 1953 floods, but was demolished in 1962 to stop children playing there, when it became dangerous.

There were lots of birdwatchers with huge lenses, but we didn’t see many birds… just ducks, an egret and some curlew …
