inkface's year

turning golden

The leaves on the beech tree are finally turning to gold. Today’s wind has blown off so many of them. This morning we had an optician’s appointment for eye scans and to collect my new glasses (Mr I didn’t need any this year). Really pleased with them, they’re purple and cerise pink. When I put them on I was reminded of that poem by Jenny Joseph, the first line ‘when I’m old I shall wear purple…’ I’m going to love wearing them.
