A picture is worth 1000 words

Stripped part of my noisy wheel today and despite there being a part number on it, it's not listed to buy anywhere and unavailable form the original finished wheel supplier. So, because relatively few companies make the bulk of bicycle parts for loads of retail brands, I'll take this sketch into the shop tomorrow and compare it with a load of the ones they actually have in stock.

This is where online sources lose out to real shops; the former works when you know exactly which item you need and a sales assistant can't add any value, whilst the latter works when you can go in with a drawing or an item and an experienced assistant can say 'that's like a model xyz from 20xx, we've still got 2 of those'.

Reminds me of a classic TV show featuring 4 candles ...
