On track

We travelled today from Sydney to Canberra by train. In the process, we passed through the newly-redeveloped Central Station in Sydney. Central is the interchange between Sydney local trains and long-distance country trains. I was greatly impressed by the refurbishment. Decades ago, as a young adult living in Sydney, I travelled through this station every day. It always seemed dirty and depressing. Now it’s light, bright, welcoming and easy to navigate.
