Oaken Drive

Mrs I had to spend the day at her parents today because her mother has been sent home from hospital.

She still has plaster on her hip after falling and breaking her bones. Whilst in hospital she had a bad heart attack. She looks frail, pale and very unwell. She seems jaundiced, and her face has sunken into itself. She is hopelesly confused, and despite my wife's best efforts to organise and dispense a daunting array of medicines she still does not understand what is required. At least she has carers going in three times a day, as well as three daughters keeping a close eye on things.

Not ideal. I still don't understand why they have not been admitted to a care home. They really should be in residential care, for their own wellbeing. The social services have made it clear the care package and medicines are classed as 'palliative', that in itself is not very encouraging.

We'll see.

My blip is a magnificent sweet chestnut tree looking resplendent in it's autumn clothes.  Oaken Drive, Codsall, Staffs.

An old haunt of ours and still a favourite for dog walks when the opportunity arises.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
