Fun

We were meant to meet and greet the Victorian Train from Dunedin at 10:45 this morning but got a text when we were almost there to say we had to meet at the library to get our instructions for acting as marshalls for the Victorian Heritage Parade.  It wasn’t an onerous task and we got to see all the parade, which was a lot of fun.  It’s wonderful how everyone gets dressed in the finest clothing and takes part.  After the parade we walked back home, relaxed for an hour, changed into our Art Deco clothes (we don’t have any Victorian clothes) and walked back down to town to The Victoria Lounge for a Mother’s Ruin High Tea.  The two different types of gin were served from tea pots and the food was beautifully presented on cake stands.  We had a lovely time and enjoyed chatting to the people sitting next to us.  The food was delicious, as was the gin.

After that, a quiet night at home was called for.  We certainly didn’t need supper!
