The shell

Here’s our Mussel shell which is on our way into town coming east out of Edinburgh, blipped on our morning wander.

The name, Musselburgh, derives from the extensive mussel beds which lie along its shore on the Firth of Forth. The Coat of Arms for Musselburgh is made up of three mussels and three anchors, with the anchors referring to the fishing tradition of the community.

I couldn’t resist adding Martin as an extra.

This afternoon has been taken up with watching Hallmark films while eating Christmas cookies.

I hope you have had a similarly relaxing Saturday.
