A castle

Waited for the rain to go off then went over to the Castle Terrace farmers market. It has more space than the Stockbridge market .. the Hexham farmers were there; bought Christmas cake, and venison to freeze. The cake was very good last year. The conversation ahead of me was about geese, available on allocation .. There's a new coffee vendor; talked about chamber music with the olive oil vendor. 

The fair was setting up on the West most end of Princes Street gardens; the leaves still on the trees conceal most of it for now. Dry for the rest of the day.
