Glasto blues

Up in good time this morning to click onto the Glastonbury Festival 2024 tickets site at 9am sharp. I had three devices on the go, my daughter had two. It's run by seetickets. You are on a holding page, which autorefreshes every 20 seconds, until a space becomes free on the booking page. Sadly for us, we didn't make it onto the booking page, not even the merest sniff. After 55 minutes the sold out sign appeared and that was that. Around 200,000 tickets sold in less than an hour!  Its a shame as we were going to introduce a couple of new people to the wonders of Glasto. We'll have to see how we get on in the resell next Spring when, for whatever reason, people who have succeeded today and paid their deposit don't pay the balance of the ticket price and those tickets are re-released. I think this is the 4th time since I started going in 2005 that we haven't got tickets which, to my regret, included the year the Stones headlined. We didn't succeed in 2021 either when Paul McCartney headlined. Perhaps there should be a special allocation for those of us who remember the 60s!
