Hanes ystafell ~ The history of a room

“We think that the point is to pass the test or overcome the problem, but the truth is that things don't really get solved. They come together and they fall apart. Then they come together again and fall apart again. It's just like that. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.”
― Pema Chödrön, (Pema Chödrön, When Things Fall Apart: Heartfelt Advice for Hard Times)

Un o'r pethau diddorol mewn aros yn yr un lle am ddegawdau yw'r newidiadau dros amser. Roedd y lle hwn toiled tu allan gyda gwresogydd dwr trydanol (gwagle gwyn).  Yna adeiladon ni wal bren tu allan, ac roedd e'n lle gyda thoiled tu fewn yn yr ystafell cysegr (paent coch). Nawr mae'n gysylltiedig â'r prif gyflenwad dŵr poeth ac nid oes angen y gwresogydd arnon ni (gwifrau noeth) fel rhan o'r gwaith ar fflat Daniel.  Beth sydd nesaf tybed?

Roeddwn i'n yna heddiw i glirio pren pren pwdr o'r gwaelod o'r hen wal bren ac yn ei llenwi gyda llenwad cryf. Mae tipyn bach mwy o waith i wneud yna, ond does dim mwy o newidiadau mawr yn y dyfodol agos (rydw i'n meddwl).

One of the interesting things about staying in the same place for decades is the changes over time. This place had an outside toilet with an electric water heater (white space). Then we built a wooden wall outside, and it was a place with a toilet inside in the sanctuary room (red paint). It is now connected to the hot water mains and we don't need the heater (bare wires) as part of the work on Daniel's flat. What's next I wonder?

I was there today to clear rotten wood from the bottom of the old wooden wall and fill it with strong filler. There is a little bit more work to do there, but there are no more big changes in the near future (I think).
