A view from St Swithin

Beinn Bhuidhe

Early start (6.45) and drove down to this isolated Munro at Loch Fyne. Lovely, lovely day and taking bikes made the walking significantly shorter.
The cairn at the top is made up of demolished Trig Point - in the days before GPS these were used for mapping the Highlands and are often found on the most out of the way peaks. There was also a small bunch of wild flowers at the top -perhaps a memorial to someone who loved this peak. Loch Fyne is the large sea loch in the background.
