Inchmahome Priory

This afternoon I finally got to somewhere I've been saying "I must go there" for ages. As the weather was nice and the in-laws were here we headed off to the Lake of Menteith and took the short boat trip out to Inchmahome Island (one of three islands on the lake) and had a look round the 13th century remains of Inchmahome Priory. It was a beautiful, peaceful place - although the peace was rather shattered by the millions of midges. I think we'll definitely be taking visitors there again, it was a great afternoon out and a lovely place. I'll try and place an order for fewer midges next time though.
