Sunday: Gemütlichkeit

This is my friend, Anne-Christine's, flat.  It really is the definition of comfort and coziness, helped by the fact that she is very artistic and has a great eye.

We have really had a great weekend - it was so nice to catch up and it felt like no time had passed since we last saw each other.  We went for a wonderful long walk this morning and then K. and I drove back to Zagreb this afternoon.

Now feeling pleasantly sleepy after lots of fresh air and good chats!  

Gemütlichkeit is German for cozy, but it is so much more than that.  It is one of those words that defies translation a bit.
