Seeing Beyond Looking

Kissable

Or actually 'Kissabel', which is the name of an apple I recently discovered. The label, which you can see on the outside of the apple says: 'Im red inside'.  Apparently this apple was created by breeders in the Loire region in France. It is said to have a tangy, berry flavour.

The one I just cut open for the photo seems to have a rather astringent quality. It's very crisp and crunchy and fresh in the mouth with a hint of berry flavour. Kissable?  Possibly. I may want to try one that is just a little more ripe so it has a rounded sweetness as I bite into it!

One thing is for sure, it's a very beautiful apple with that enticing pink hue reminding me of cranberries.
