We woke, we breakfasted, we cleaned the place, we packed our stuff, and two dogs into the van, we were just about ready to go... when Fi noticed a flat tyre. It must've been hidden by the bag of rubbish, but the tyre was completely flat.

It had rained all night and on through the packing, and it certainly wasn't going to stop just because of a puncture. Luckily Fi and Rich had got full waterproofs on because they had to lie down to release the spare. It was a first with this vehicle and I'm sure they'll be quicker next time.

The cause of the flat was obvious, a bolt with a sizeable head, most likely picked up on Friday as we drove through the farmyard. We'll done to Rich and Fi, and Mick who helped them, and to the few members still to leave for home who stayed in case they were needed ♡

Eventually we were ready to leave, and what a wet journey home it was, only stopping raining after Stoke on Trent!
