1,5 years later...

...the place de la Republique has finally re-opened! And beautiful it is too (before all the chewing gum invades it).

Today was a lovely sunny Sunday, like they should be. Woke up relatively early and made pancakes for breakfast, followed by a walk down to canal Saint-Martin. It was lovely, I watched a canal boat go through all the different levels of water. Also watched part of the road move out of the way so that the boat could pass. Very impressive and surprisingly mesmerising watching it go. After that I cycled back and went to the park for the day for some pic-nicking and frisbying with friends. A perfect day!
