The ramparts

LH is still at Mingary Castle in Ardnamurchan. This last couple of days have been a mad rush. Called onto site for a watching brief today, LH completed the long drive late last night, monitored excavations to the landward side of the castle from 8am until 7pm and then drove home for nearly 5 hours. Long long days.

All made worthwhile by a little visit to the battlements to see the progress the team are making removing the turf and vegetation. The views are stunning.
