Edinburgh has old clay sewer pipes, and every so often they have to be repaired or replaced. This is on Dublin Street, and about the third attempt to clear whatever is blocking the line coming in from the Meuse; I talked to the crew boss while the crew were alternating a water jet (noisy!) and a camera into the fairly deep hole. If they have to go to the main sewer it's about 4m down .. and the Scotland Street  tunnel runs underneath ..

Found a new popup shop on Dundas Street selling botanical art ..nice cards, using East Lothian plants, called Wilderframe. There until end November.

Showers in the morning, dry in the afternoon. 11C and no wind to speak of.
