The Last Waxwing

Work has prevented me getting out and about for a few days, so it was nice to have this waxwing turn up this morning. Most of them seem to have moved on, now, with birders in southern England hoping to see them. I read of around 1000 reported in the Clyde area, so the deep south will probably be visited soon.
This may not be the very last waxwing, of course. I always think that film titles with 'The Last Whatever' are being presumptuous. How do they know its the last whatever?
