Rally ended prematurely

Was competing in the Crail summer stages at the weekend (first ever event) and at the finish of stage 3 I belted a tyre. Marshals at the finish said they heard a bang just before I hit the tyres. The ball joint socket on the hub had sheared and I think this is what made me hit the tyres at the side of the road. Truly gutted not to finish but that's rallying as they say!
