Pub garden

My driver didn’t want to drive down to the coast. The friends we would have liked to join us were not available, so all our ideas came to nothing. So we went to a local pub for lunch, just the two of us. We were quite early but the first place we chose had no room for us. In fact we were not sorry, it seemed very noisy. We drove on and stopped at a pub we have often passed but haven’t been to before. A lovely old building.
It was busy but they had a table for us. The menu was inviting and we were not disappointed, the food was excellent. We must go there again!
It was a beautiful sunny day but with a cold wind. It was good to be out in the Surrey lanes with the lovely coloured trees.
