Lathyrus Odoratus

Crocker End

I took advantage of today's sunny dry weather to collect a load of well-rotted horse manure and made a start on distributing it across the back garden. My morning walk with the spaniel took us along the lane through Crocker End and around the Warburg nature reserve. Apparently 'crocker' is an old English name for a potter and there have been pottery kilns here since Roman times. Still lots of colour on the trees although it won't be long before the remaining leaves are down.
