"Birds and Birds and..."

...Birds and Birds..what more can I say?...

... The Murray River is down due to the Weir near Lock 11, being repaired, and ofcourse - the Birds know where to come don't they when the river is as low as its been for many, many years - even the seagulls joined in today and you can see more further along enjoying the warmth of the day in the distance on the (now) muddy, and in some places, rocky banks of the river...

...They're having fun with their mates, near the old Mildura Wharf - (where the paddle boats and steam boats are normally moored) - on this lovely sunny day after a frost has been - it generally is even lovelier on a Day of Frost ofcourse, chilly, but lovely - a nice walk along the riverbank in amongst the little brown ducks, so tame, pied cormorants, swamp hens, water hens, and many others..

...Yesterday, there were many people having picnics or just walking along the lawns and having fun with their little ones amongst the autumn leaves fallen from the deciduous trees...and yesterday - there were just as many birds feasting on what the old river has therein...and no doubt it shall possibly be a good year for the breeding of the wildlife..
