The Dome of Firenze

Saturday evening we picked up my parents from Firenze airport - had a nice evening with a good bottle of Chianti and great food and sunday morning we woke up to a cloudy sky ( my mood was down under) but we decided to drive to Firenze to do some sightseeing. Nice drive with beautiful landscape (OH I totally fell in love with Toscana) and then after searching for half an our we found a parking space and went to the city center. Lovely city - even it rained a little - and finally we finally found the DOME - from outside it looks soooo beautiful - inside its very "poor" - no huge painings or something - just a lot of space with a chairs - huge organ and altar but nothing really special (in my mind)... . We left the Dome and went around and the sun came up and we really had a lovely day in Firenze. Definately a place you have to be when in Toscana.
