Good Summer Ahead!

The flowers on our Cabbage Tree are gorgeous…and we take it as a sign of a good summer coming up! 
Another endemic tree to NZ, the leaves can make a mess after a good wind. However, we tie them into bundles and store them for fire starters in Winter. They attract birds, too-so we really like our tree, even if it is messy!

The wee Fantail iron sculpture was one of Jill’s birthday presents this year. It’s weathering beautifully.

I’ve just finished mowing a lawn and it’s hot work, so I’m taking a wee break to look at some of your photos.
