Ultra Half

Today was the day of the Ultra Half... an Ultra Marathon being 26+ miles and Ultra Half being half of that. Why it is an Ultra Half and not an Almost Marathon I don't know... but G led them off at 9.30am to head around Seattle. Mrs C and H had a 5ishK loop around Green Lake and the boys headed off out yonder. I headed down to surprise snap Mrs C & H who when running past wondered who the weirdo behind the tree was taking pictures of them. 

I took them home to freshen up then we were off scouting around Seattle to see where the Ultra Boys were...  slowly we homed in on them, guessing which way they would go as it was a surprise and eventually settled at South Union Lake to wait for them to arrive... except we drove past them while they were walking, and all the way up to our meeting point where the girls cheered them on and they began running again upon demand and cheering. We left them to continue and they did about 16 miles. We walked around the lake and I helped a couple taking selflies of them and their dog, to get their dog Lincoln to look at the camera and as a reward and got to pet him... I am missing my boy back home!

The rest of the day was spent preparing for Mrs Ps 85th birthday party and then having the party - we are now exhausted, heading out east in the morning.
