A Grey Heron in a grey sky

Popped through to Hartlepool for a hair appointment for Laura. while she was there me and Lucas trundled along the pier (the big one south of the marina, opposite Middleton pier next to the basin) me with my camera bag and Lucas with his scooter. Wanted to try out pointing it at flying birds (the camera not the scooter) had some success with seagulls when I pointed it at this larger seagull before realising that ain't no seagull. I told Lucas about it being a heron and not a seagull and he wittingly came back "maybe it a red heron."
