Repair

When I climbed off the chair I'd been using to get down the Christmas cake tin I discovered that the repair I did 35 years ago had rather seriously come apart. I was lucky it hadn't collapsed under me. 

I hope this repair lasts another 35 years - by which time I will most definitely not be interested in Christmas cake tins.

It also made me realise that there will be six of us here for Christmas and I have only three functioning chairs... I think I have another two broken ones under a tarpaulin in the garden.
