Surrendering Perfection

The olives I picked have now been soaking for some weeks to get rid of the bitterness, and it's time to put them in brine (10% salt to water) to cure, so that was the job for tonight.

A quote from an article I read by Leslie Jamison, in The New Yorker, which I thought could be applied to our lives, and even to a Blip entry:
- "With each project, you eventually have to surrender the perfect version of the work to make room for what you actually create."

Gratefuls:
- contributing some to a two-hour Zoom meeting this morning, in my new role on the MC leadership team
- a very windy Chapel walk with Mike
- toasted banana bread with a shot of Drambuie, yum!
