Broken again . . .

This time my ice cleats used for the first time since I bought them in 2021.  Unfortunately they weren’t up to muster.

Two problems.  First, when walking, there is a tendance for the front cleats to shift to one side if you are not ‘walking’ completely square.  This is part due to the heal cleats not ‘cupping’ the heal of the boot, combined with very flexible material so the front can move sideways.  This also results in the second problem, the heal cleats sit in the arch of the boot, hence the loss of the stud.

Replacement Ice Cleats on the way.

This all happened yesterday and was going to be yesterday’s blip, however why waist an idea so I shot the broken stud today.  A fifteen frame photo merge for those interested.
