Ormres kirkja

Had to pop over to Ormskirk for work reasons today. It’s I place I have always been quite fond of. It’s thought the name came from a Viking, Ormr, who converted to Christianity & founded a church there (Kirk).
Which is cool.
What is also cool is that the Liverpool city region has always kept an element of control over its public transport with Merseytravel. As a result it seems relatively efficient & gets invested in, such as the new fleet of trains.
Rather splendid they are too.
