Big crane excitement!

Our neighbours had a 'swim spa' delivered today. Apparently (we had to look it up) it's one of those small pools that you can swim in because it pumps water at you constantly. This one is probably about 14 feet long and weighs about a tonne (without the water). It was delivered by crane and had to be lifted directly over their house - the one with two gable ends at the bottom of the photo. The first trick was fitting it between the telephone wires. Once safely through it went over without a hitch. Well, apart from the lorry beeping rather a lot as it went past the point where the weight at the far end was exerting rather a lot of force on the lorry! Yes, the crane arm is bending slightly, but I imagine this is within normal bounds.

I doubt that the neighbours will be using the pool in the next few days - it's pretty chilly here!
