Advent Calendar Day!

A day later than normal, dug the advent calendars out of the attic this afternoon and added the chocolates to the calendar embroidered by Mum, just one of the eight (only four contain chocolate!) that are in the house, including the Jacquie Lawson advent calendar on the laptop, sent by my brother.

This morning was a different matter. Dad still very unwell, if not worse. On the phone to the surgery at 8am, phone call from a GP at 8.30am who arranged for a paramedic to come and assess the patient in person. He arrived 11.30am and was very thorough and was shocked that antibiotics had been prescribed over the phone, apologising that no one had been to see Dad when I first contacted the surgery two days ago. As a result stronger antibiotics and steroids were prescribed. Keep your fingers crossed that they work.

So today’s trip to Bath Christmas to meet up with a friend was cancelled, but hopefully I’ll get another chance next Friday. -4 overnight and at 2pm the temperature still hadn’t risen above 0. -4 forecast for tonight as well. Brrr...
