Quarter Light

Still some of yesterday's ice hanging about despite a much warmer 40°F temp. I explored the shoreline looking for interesting shapes and details. I liked this almost circular rock capped with ice. In partial shadow only a quarter of it is lit by the setting sun. I liked the crispy bits in the shade.

I added a touch of blue to the shadows with colour grading in LR following an online presentation by Mark Littlejohn. Still a bit of a dark art despite his explanation.
